U.S. Youth Observer Application
Represent U.S. Youth at the UN
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. citizen, age 18-25.
- Interest and passion for international affairs, civic
engagement, youth issues, and the United Nations.
- Availability travel to New York City during the United
Nations General Assembly (September 21-28) and at least three days
in October during the Third Committee of the General Assembly.
- Willingness to participate in social media and in-person
media events hosted by UNA-USA.
- Willingness to write blog posts, tweets, and newsletter
articles on your experience.
- Willingness to occasionally travel and speak at UNA-USA
events around the country between October 2013 and February 2014 to
discuss your experience and the importance of youth in the
international dialogue (to be scheduled in conjunction with Youth
Observer's availability and UNA-USA's program needs).
- Travel and reasonable lodging costs associated with participation as U.S. Youth Observer will be provided by UNA-USA.
